Diamond 6950 1 GB

Does anyone know how good the diamond brand of the 6950 is? It has twin fans which should help the temperature but there is only 1 review on Newegg so I was wondering if anyone else had an opinion about this card. I believe total cost with rebate and shipping is $220 so this seems like a bargain card to me.

Diamond isn't normally considered a good brand, but I'm sure the card will still function well.

Hi,

Theses days, every brands performs on par when compared to each other of the same model. The only things that changes is the softwares/games/connectors included in the bundle, and backplate's connections. By that I mean the number of HDMI, DVI, display port and even mini display ports differ from brands and from models.

Oh and sometimes a select card will require kinda more power than another brand and the cooler used to cool the card will differ sightly/greatly depending.

Furthermore, some manufacturer use cheap electronic and other uses quality components. In the past Diamond was not the top but they're in the business for years, like powercolor and other less known manufacturers.

If you really want the best brand, I'd go with EVGA or XFX since both offer long warranties and allows for overclocking without voiding the said warranty. There's other good brands out there but I don't know about their politics about overclocking, which is the most important thing to my eyes!
