Can anyone help me with a little overclocking? :D .I heard that flashing the vBIOS is the best way to overclock.
I want to change my vBIOS and I'm stuck because I don't actually know what is the best way to do it for my laptop:Dell Inspiron N5010.
Please help me.

Use this tool to copy current vBIOS contents on to the hard disk: http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/1978/TechPowerUp_GPU-Z_v0.5.3.html

Use this tool to edit the current vBIOS contents on the hard disk and save: http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/1962/TechPowerUp_Radeon_Bios_Editor_v1.28.html

Use this tool to flash vBIOS with the new (edited) one: http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/1919/ATI-Winflash-2.0.1.13.html

Flashing vBIOS may make your video card unusable. Do the flashing at your own risk.

I would avoid vBIOS flashing and try software overclocking to be more safe.

Try Sapphire Trixx or MSI Afterburner to overclock the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650.

aylafan I've tried both of this softwares and neither of them worked. In fact for me to use msi afterburner I first had to use amd gpu tool to set my desired frequecies..and afterwords i was eable to set other frequecies whit the msi tool.my 5650 is hardcore stuff ;)) it can run at 650/1040 with no problems tested in fear 3 a few days ago for 3 and a half hours and no problems were encountered.okey so if you say that vbios is not so safe..how about a change of frequencies made to the video card driver or something like this..I mean to change default power play setings and set them at higher values..I belive that it can be done somehow.. :sol: ..but still don't know how..
so,does anyone knows something about this?
