Cpu overheating ?

A week ago I bought a new computer, with Core i7 2600k and corsair h80 liquid cooler...
when I don't run anything I have 35c showing on the "core temp" program, now when I run some game my temp is showing 98c...
Is there a problem with the program ? the pc was build at the market...
can you suggest other program to test the temperature ?

I have Asus p8z68 motherboard is that matters.

Check if the liquid cooler is fitted properly.

1) Id recommend downloading "HWMonitor" - Just for a "second opinion" on temps
2) Make sure the water block is properly fastened down
3) Make sure the fans on the radiator are working
4) Make sure you have correctly applied thermal paste between the CPU and the water block
