Different brands mixed?

my 2x4GB G skill sniper memory can mixed with different brand or what specify it will match and work well

im planning to upgrade from 8GB to 16GB soon

The brand is insignificant, there's only 2-3 companies actually making the DRAM chips that others then solder to PCBs and sell. What you want to concern yourself with are the various performance metrics of the RAM. The more closely those match the better.
