Hello,
I have been having problems with my display it will go black and/or get a line through it before it goes out sometime it will come back on but most of the time I have to shut down and resart

It could be the video card or the monitor.

Have you tried attaching the monitor to a different PC?

Have you tried re-installing the video card drivers?

Perhaps your video card has kicked the bucket. My Radeon X1900XT died back in 2009.
