I HAVE A COLORADO QIC-3020 TAPE DRIVE I USE AS BACK-UP. IS IT POSSIBLE TO VIEW FILES ON THE TAPE LIKE YOU WOULD OPEN A FLOPPY DISK, AND CAN YOU USE THE TAPE DRIVE TO STORE AND RETRIVE LARGE DOWNLOADS.

Seagate software had a utility that was called DTA(Direct Tape Access)that would allow such things as you want. I used it for quite sometime with little trouble. Although I did not use it with a colorado tape drive I am sure that it would work with it. I am not sure if it is still available though. If you can't find it, I may still have it somewhere in the obsolete box.
