Internet Speed Issue

Hey I just recently got internet and it was advertised to download speeds from 4-10mbps. Now i go onto Speedtest.com and the site says my download speed is 6.8mbps but when i go to actually download something off the internet i get about 800kbps? Is that what it should be at or what do i need to do to get it higher? Thanks

If you are using a wireless connection between computer and router that will slow things down.

More likely the site you are connecting to, or the internet links to it, are slow.
