Hi,
I just got a SonyEricsson T630. Very pleased with it. But I can't get
the XTNDConnect PC software to work with it. I've tried using the
usually reliable Geekzone instructions for it
(http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=760) but without
success.
My PC and phone are paired, and I've managed to sync the whole of my
Outlook contacts with the phone by using the IrMC synchronisation. So,
I know that there's nothing fundamentally wrong. (actually, I didn't
manage to sync all of my Outlook contacts because there's too many,
but I managed to fill-up the phone's memory with Outlook contacts, so
the principle is the same!)
The Geekzone guide says to right-click the BT icon in the system tray
and find your com port number for the BT serial port. Well, mine's
COM6. The guide then says to launch SonyEricsson's PhoneSettings app
and the guide then expects your phone to be found, but mine isn't. :-(
I've altered the setting for the PhoneSettings program so that COM6 is
the only port that is looks at (i.e. COM6 is the only enabled port for
searching) and that the port is reserved. But still no luck.
Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated. This has
become very frustrating.
I'm running Windows 2000, and PhoneSettings 3.5.0.8, with a TDK
Bluetooth PC Card.
