Hi guys,

I bought a hd 6970 2gb pcie gfx card a couple of weeks ago. I had issues from day 1. I had a antec 550w psu and experienced freezing in windows applications not games so 2d only, then the screen would go blank and would say recovered from a driver issue. I changed psu to a new antec 750w and had the same issue.

I tried the whole driver cleaner, format, reinstall os thing and no good.

Last night I was playing bad company 2 and got a BSOD, when I rebooted I can't get picture on the screen at all, I tried reset the bios.

Pc boots up with normal post beep and hdd led activity seems normal as if it was booting into windows.

Seems to be a faulty gfx card, what do you think?

I don't have another pc to test the card in and don't have a spare pcie gfx card to test.

Go to BB and buy the cheapest video card and test to see if your system works fine. Return it after you determine if it's your video card or something else was at fault.

Make sure you're using the latest drivers and all that...

though i believe such a thing would not make your system BSOD. normally BSOD can be associated with RAM being bad. you can run program called memtest86 to check your RAM
