I would go with the rosewill one, because 700w might just cut it, but you want some headroom for oc'ing.

I figured after a moderate overclock I should be around 750-800W max leaving ample headroom with the 1000W. However the bad reviews for the rosewill are BAD and I have serious buyers remorse to include such poor reviews with my new baby.

you are about 300w over even with a OC CPU, 450w at stress (gaming would be lower). the modstream is a solid enough PSU but with low 12v rail power, it will do the job though. Personally i would go with the corsair TX650 if you don't plan to run SLI

Test System Specs
- Intel Core i7 920 (Overclocked @ 3.70GHz)
- x3 2GB G.Skill DDR3 PC3-12800 (CAS 9-9-9-24)
- Asus P6T Deluxe (Intel X58)
- OCZ GameXStream (700W)

what's your budget ? And no you don't need more than a 650W if you won't OC, 700W if you'll OC each nail on your PC, 850W for SLI GTX 580s in future.

I feel this card should be able to hold me over for a good amount of time as it is. Budget, probably less than 150 but I'll spend the money to make sure my investment is safe.

More my internal monologue just wants to build this tomorrow, but not at the risk of a poor PSU powering it all.

Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 850W
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
NZXT 850W
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Those are ones of the top & the best PSUs around

EDIT: Corsair HX 750W $140 after MIR, even if you SLI in future with the Upcoming GTX 6K/7K series they supposed to use lower power consumption than the current series so you'll be more than good as well

a good 600watts will see you perfectly for the 1 card detup... sesonic, corsair and others have great offerings.
if you want headroom then add 200watts per potential gfx cards. 250 if your thinking high end nvidia.

Except for being Modular!

I don't see the OP requesting a modular unit.

Having built PCs with both modular and non-modular I could care less about the feature (even though one of my current PSUs is modular) since I often end up using one-two less cable with the modular.
