Hello, I currently have a Asus P9x79 deluxe motherboard and had been having some problems with the usb 3.0 ports. It seems that a way to fix the issue is by upgrading the firmware of the usb 3.0 chipsets. My problem here is that to upgrade them I need to boot to MS-DOS, but it seems impossible to do it on my motherboard (uefi). Does anybody knows a way to boot to MS-DOS or an alternative to flash these firmware files?

You can boot to BIOS or UEFI as long as "Legacy Boot" is enabled. The vast majority of people actually boot into BIOS mode and not UEFI mode that have UEFI enabled BIOS. So you can't put firmware on a USB stick and find it in the firmware update section of the BIOS setup?
