Usb ports stopped working on ASRock 970DE3/U3S3 windows 7 64bit

hi,

i built myself a computer. it worked great. then one day my keyboard and mouse cords got very hot and they stopped working.

my usb ports stopped working.

the motherboard has total of 6 and the case has 2 in the front.

all of the usb ports on the whole computer stopped working but 1 of the 2 on the front of the case.

i did research online and it said to reinstall the drivers, i did and still does not work.

i unplugged the front case cord and put into other usb locations, still same issue.

others said that maybe usb ports and damaged.

would you know any advice on how to fix this, or do i have to look for a new motherboard?

any help will be greatly appreciated.
