hi,

First apology for bringing an issue not related to cellular as this
problem is sync tungsten T with belking bluetooth adapter.

Set up everything:

1. belking adapter configured to use com 4 & detects PDA with
successful pairing

2. TT set up to detect & pair with belking adapter

Both devices see each other. The problem is when doing a sync over
bluetooth

1. syn initiated (stage 1)
2. after 30 or so seconds TT gives message:

"connection between hand held and desktop could not be established.
Please check your setup & try again".

This is really weird as paring was successful so why doesn't sync
work?

Help,

thanks

You need to have the T|T configured properly for synching as opposed to
using BT for say a Network or Cell Phone connection.

I created a new Connection type through Preferences that I called BT to PC.
The parameters are

Connect To: PC
Via: Bluetooth
Device: <PC device name as discovered by Bluetooth>

This works perfectly for me. So check which connection type you are using,
it should say so in the Hot Sync app.

Hope this helps
TC

You can follow Tony's advice. Also check that this Bluetooth dongle is not
connected to a USB HUB, but directly to your computer.
