Choosing the right RAM

Just need some opinions on ram. I am buying a computer which has the default 1333mhz 8GB RAM. But I want to do video editing , I am also getting the intel i7 3770k, so I'm not sure whether I should up the RAM or will the CPU do most of the work? Also is there a big difference between 1333mhz and 1600mhz memory?
