Hi,
My current sound card has packed in, and I could use a new one.
I have 2 pairs of headphones. Astro A40's via the Astro MixAmp (SPDIF) and Sennheiser HD650's via 3.5mm.
I'd like a soundcard that can output Dolby Digital Live via SPDIF, and also great audio for music out of a 3.5mm port.
I've seen a few different cards, but can't find one that works with all of these. Because the audio for games (SPDIF out) doesn't need much processing (the mixamp will do most of it), the card can be fairly cheap. However, for the music, a good driver would be great.
Hope someone's got some suggestions :)

The Sennheiser HD-650 is 300-Ohm, no low cost sound card will drive it directly.
This Thursday (Dec 1st. ) Creative Labs new sound card the Recon3D (SB1350) PCI-Express sound card will be avaiable.
it comes with a 600-Ohm headphone amplifier and cost around $100.

If your motherboard comes with a built in digital optical (SDPIF) output, you can run that to the Mix-Amp.

The Asus Xonar DG PCI sound card costs $17.50 after $10 mail in rebate.

I'll take a look at these, thank you, hopefully they'll be in the UK soon.
I need the SDPIF from the soundcard because my MoBo will not output DDL, which I need for the MixAmp.
