Asus P8Z77-V LX + Asus Nvidia GTX580 = Boots but no POST

Hello Board!

As the title suggests, when I put those two together the system doesn't show the POST message. However, it does boot the operating system with no other issues. If I start it without the GTX580 inserted and instead use the integrated GPU, POST does show.

The motherboard was at BIOS 0401 initially and I updated it to the latest version hoping that would fix the problem, but it hasn't.

I'm at a loss for ideas on how to proceed with this, so I'd appreciate any thoughts on the matter.

Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V LX (BIOS 1201)
GPU: Asus Nvidia GTX580
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770
RAM: Corsair DDR3 1600MHz 16GB (4x4GB)
PSU: Corsair Enthusiast TX750M
OS: Windows 7 x64

I have almost the same config as you do, and so do i have problems with this board (p8z77-v minus the lx)

I just can't use my displayport anymore, once i plug in my Gtx 580 it stops working on both my igp and 580.

Quite frustrating since there is a Dell U2711 on the other end of the cable so I'm currently using dvi-duallink as the only alternative to transport this 2560x1440 resolution
