Monitors (VGA/DVI) performance

Hi, i've had my PC running on a VGA monitor for around 3 months now, and I am going to buy a DVI monitor.

My specs are:

AMD 1090T @4GHz
NVidia GTX 580
8GB 1600mhz RAM
Asus crosshair IV formula motherboard

I was just wondering, if there would be any difference in FPS in games between VGA and DVI.

No.

FPS is dependent on the resolution you are playing the game at and the performance of your video card. The CPU is not as important as long as it is fast enough not to bottleneck your video card. Your CPU is fine.
