I personally like to use neweggs power supply calculator. While it is not exact it can give you a ball park estimate.

Also a lot of people feel it is better to have extra power. I have read some reviews that said it is a good idea to never go over 80% of your total power supply wattage. I can not be a hundred % that this is good advice, but there reasons did make sense.

P.S. according to that calculator I need 600+ watts for my computer, but I might want to xfire my 6950 so I went with a 1,000 watt power supply. I picked up a kingwin 1,000 watt at a very reasonable price. I have used them before and they have lasted with out problems. They are also on sale right now!
