Laptop Processor

My friend has a very nice laptop, but it is lacking in the processor field. It has a 1.6ghz processor (way to slow for Battlefield 3 even with turboboost). The Laptop is a HP Pavillion DV6-2190US. I was looking at mobile processor upgrades and found one that matches the socket type. But I need a second opinion, will this processor from Newegg be compatible with this computer.

  1. No point when gaming performance is limited by the GPU! Doubt that it will support second gen I5!
  2. No, they use different sockets.
Why is it you thing BF3 wont play on that? It should.

edit - same specs as yours:

I even downloaded the intel turboboost gadget. It helped a little bit, but not completely. Internet speed is plenty fast as well.
