Well, after being away from the scene for a while, i was excited when I saw a 3.6 GHz quad core for 120. But i was then dissapoint.
Anyway, i have a challange for people.
Build me an i5 2500k rig for around 450. just link to the parts.
Ive been trying to do it myself, and i just havent been around for a while, and its just confusing me.
Anyway, a graphics card isnt a necessity. Im a casual gamer, dont need to play BF3 on ultra, although medium would be nice...
If it cant fit in the budget, i can always buy one later.
But i just want to know if its possible. thanks for letting me know.
did some reading up, and wanted to know if it would be a better idea to buy a 50 dollar LGA 1155 cheap thing (celeron? lol. But it actually got good reviews on newegg) that will work until next year's ivy bridge is released. Thoughts?
Get an i3-2100, a gigabyte z68-ud3, your graphics card of choice, 8gb of ram, 600-750w psu, and in 4 months use your extra money you saved from not getting an i5 to upgrade to the highest end i7 ivy bridge cpu
