can i upgrade my old cpu (pentium d 2.8ghz) to core 2 duo 2.00ghz

my pc specs is:

hp compaq dc7600

1gb ram

windows xp 32bit

ati hd 5450

intel pentium d 2.8ghz socket lga 775
