Thanks in advance for taking the time to help me out. I've got a build here already, I just need a little advice on where can I cut some corners to save cash without sacrificing much performance. I am planning to play bf3, skyrim, witcher 2, etc at close to max settings. I'd also like it to look good ie, blue neon lights etc. I also intend to overclock my i5 2500k. Will this do the job? I also don't know much about monitors, is the one I selected decent?

Budget Range: $1000-1500 (I'd prefer it to be around $1300-1400 w/ monitor, OS, but if the performance will take a big hit i'd rather be on the safe side.)

Intel Coreā„¢ i5-2500K Processor, 3.30GHz w/ 6MB Cache

Gigabyte GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 w/ Dual DDR3 2133, 7.1 Audio, Gigabit Lan, CrossFireX / SLI

Patriot Gamer 2 Series, Division 2 Edition DDR3 8GB (2 x 4GB) PC3-12800 Enhanced Latency Kit

OCZ Vertex 2 E Series 2.5in SATA II Solid State Drive, 60GB

Cooler Master HAF X Tower Case
I suspect this case might be a bit overkill, not sure though. I'd also like the case to have some lightup bling.

HIS Radeon HD 6950 IceQ X Turbo 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E w/ Dual DVI, HDMI, Dual DisplayPort

Cooler Master Silent Pro M 700W Power Supply

Hitachi 1TB Deskstar 7K1000.C SATA II w/ 32MB Cache

A few things:
1) Corsair 1600MHz RAM I believe is cheaper than the Patriot RAM you listed.
2) HAF X - Expensive and very very big. You could save alot here by going with something like HAF 912 or 922 or a different mid-tower ATX case all together.
3) Id recommend Samsung SpinPoint F3 HDD over the Hitachi one you listed.

NOTE; Depending on if you plan to Crossfire in the future or not (add a second 6950) you could:
Drop that 700w PSU down to 500w and bet a cheaper motherboard
If you would like to have the option available to add a second card in the future, stick with what you have listed.
