PC Specs:
AMD Athlon II X2 220 2.8GHz
nVidia GeForce 9200
3GB RAM
Running Windows 7 Ultimate

My motherboard information is:
Chipset: NVIDIA nForce 720a
Southbridge: NVIDIA ID075C
LPCIO: ITE IT8720

I'm thinking about getting either a:
AMD Athlon II X4 3 GHz Processor
AMD Phenom 9550 X4 Quad Core AM2 CPU Processor

Will any of them work in my computer?
Would they make a huge difference?

I want to play GTA4 with high fps on medium/low settings.

Look for a "cpu support" listing for your motherboard, or try to find a forum on the board manufacture website. If you can't find it, then I would just be guessing as to which cpu your board would work with.

Yeah post what Motherboard you have as that will drive what you can put in. Additionally, you may have to upgrade the BIOS version.

Also not sure on your video card but that looks like a pretty low end model. you may want to consider upgrading it as well.
