Is gtx 470 SLI worth it at this point?

I've been piecing together info from various threads but I'd like to try and get something more definitive:

I have a Gigabyte SOC gtx 470
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125338&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-RSSDailyDeals-_-na-_-na&AID=10521304&PID=4176827&SID=72qh7u9lx8jl

proc/mobo i5-760/asus p7p55d-e pro

At this point would it be worth getting another 470 for SLI or waiting until my 470 is more outdated and get a new card altogether???

I should note that I can run everything I've tried on max out settings 1920x1080

I would probably not get another giga SOC 470 as they've become very rare and expensive. I'd be fine with differently branded 470, but what do I need to know as far as how to integrate the 2...?

Hoping some GPU junkies can help me out here.

SLI has it's benefits but sometimes you may experience heat problems, driver issue and performance scaling on certain games though gpu updates can remedy that. Stick with you're single GTX470 and wait till a new Nvidia card will be release.

If you can max out everything, then there is little point unless you plan on using 3d vision.

Between now and early 2012, I don't see any games coming out that will have vastly different requirements than current games have.

Can you play Metro 2033 at acceptable frame rates? If so, wait for Kepler.

if you can already max out your games then i think it is better to leave it as it is. unless there are games out there that you play can't be maxed out with your current card (but you still want to it play on max setting) then go for the second card :)

I think you've already answered your own question. If you can max everything keep saving your money and upgrade in another 12months.
