Hello everyone, I am currently facing an issue where there is no audio through my headphones. The speaker at the bottom is marked with a red x. clicking that shows digital audio hdmi under playback. There is no headphones listed.
I have checked bios and onboard hd audio is enabled. Should it be at AC97 or HD AUDIO. I dontknow what else i can try. It is realtek onboard and i have got the latest drivers for it. The motherboard is Asus PK5C. I am so frustrated that i might end up buying a sound card. Thanks for any help.

Goto control panel / sounds and switch the standard audio device to realtek. Windows does support only one audio device at a time for some reason. If you need the HDMI output later, you have to switch it back.
