I just recently bought a Asus P5E3 motherboard to replace my existing motherboard that has recently gone bad.

I have two 4gb G.Skill DDR3 1600s and wanted to know if this motherboard would support 4gb ram modules.

Has anyone had any success?

Hello, and Welcome to Tom's Hardware!

Yes you MB will support 8GB of dual channel RAM.
From the spec sheet: x DIMM, Max. 8 GB, DDR3 1800(O.C.)/1600(O.C.)/1333/1066/800 ECC,Non-ECC,Un-buffered Memory
Dual Channel memory architecture

Your G. Skill 1600 modules aren't are the QVL, but as long as they were purchased as a pair together, you have a good chance they will work OK.

I just received the board and put my two 4gb DDR3's in there and everything worked fine.

The memory was recognized by default as 1066, so I had to change some settings to get it up to 1600.

Thanks John!
