Hello, I have attempted to increase the RAM on my Toshiba Satellite Pro A300 -109 to 4GB with 2x2gb crucial memory. When I enter the set up screen the computer has recognised the 4gb is on board but Windows will not start.

Does anyone have a solution please?

Is the memory you bought for the Toshiba certified to work with your system? Laptops/notebooks can be very finicky about what memory will work with them. Going with a generic memory module may not work in your particular system. I suggest you verify that the memory you bought and installed is actually compatible with the system.

Good luck!

Make sure the ram is set to the proper voltages/timings.
