Hi there recently my belkin wireless adapter is playing up. It can detect and connect to my network but when attempting to use the internet it will say no connection. I have made sure windows zero config is started as well as on automatic but still the same.

At first it might be a firewall problem i disabled the firewall still to no avail. The belkin wireless utility will not detect any networks while the windows utility can.

any help would be appreciated.

More info:

router - netgear dg834g
adapter - belkin wireless adapter F5D9050

os- win xp

Don't try to run both utilities at once -- just Windows or just the Belkin one.

Also check TCP/IP Properties.

Start, Connect To, Connection, Properties, Scroll Down TCP/IP and highlight, click Properties and check that Obtain DNS and IP address automatically are enabled.
