Hey THG Peeps, I'll be looking for a new graphics card when Battlefield 3 releases... I'm probably not the only one, lol. but anyway, my question is sort of generalized in the sense that I'm not looking for a particular card just yet as my upgrade is still a few months away.
Basically what I want to know is would it be better to buy a recently released $100-$150 Card, OR would I be better off getting a currently ~$300 card when it drops to the $100-$150 range.
I'm thinking the $300 card would have better performance even with the same amount of memory/clock speeds due to it being designed from the ground up with top performance in mind (better parts perhaps?).
But would a newer, lower end card perform close, while operating cooler and/or quieter due to it being designed/ built with newer, possibly better designed parts, or better/newer architecture.
Let me know if you need me to clarify anything.
Thanks in advance, Cheers, JF
