VGA Adapter unavaiable

Hello,
Downoading a new driver for Compaq Presario C600 Notebook. Got interrupted and now adapter information indicates "unavalabe" for Chip Type, DAC Type etc. System is now operating on Default Monitor and Settings. Can original VGA adapter be recovered?

You should be able to get the latest drivers from the HP web site:

http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html

For laptops, because all the hardware is custom (exception RAM and disk) and built to the laptops spec, you should always only use the drivers on the manufacturers web site.

you could also roll back the device driver to an original driver what was working. to find this go to device manager, you can get there by right clicking on my computer and clicking manage
