Compatible????

Hey i am building my first computer and was wondering if these two different sticks of RAM are compatible with each other. Newegg wants to give me a free set of 8GB RAM as a deal, but I already have chosen mine that I want.

Would I be able to use both in the same machine? Should I stick with the one I have chosen already? Should I not get the One I have chosen and go with the free one? And one last question. Which RAM set is better the Ares or the Ripjaws?

Any form of help is appreciated.

The ripjaws set is better than the Res set. The Ares are not true 1.5v items. In their xmp profiles you'll see that at 1600 MHz they want 1.65 v. Stay away from the are. The rest just falls into place.

I can get the ares set for free though. And is it possible to use them both together in the same system?
