Hi, I am looking to purchase a new CPU for Christmas. I currently have a AMD Athlon II x4 630 @2.8ghz (non-overclocked) and I am thinking about purchasing an AMD Phenom II X4 975, Black Edition @ 3.6ghz, question is this CPU compatible with my mobo and will I need to purchase a new PSU also?, if so any recommendations? Currently, I have a 500w no-name PSU which is sufficient for now.My full specs are as follows:

AMD Athlon II x4 630
MSI 760GM –E51
8 GB DDR3
HD 6850

Other info:
I play games @ 1080p, I play/looking to play: SC2,SWTOR, Skyrim, BF3,Guild Wars 2, Diablo 3. I run applications such as: Netbeans, My SQL, Tomcat/Apache server, Visio, Visual Studio, Dreamweaver, etc

Yes it is compatible http://www.msi.com/product/mb/760GM-E51.html#/?div=CPUS...
You do not need to upgrade PSU just for upgrading the CPU!
