Mario Tennis, for the simple reason that it is fun and in the case of Mario
Party 6 you could just as well buy the previous one (Mario Party 5) which is
a lot cheaper.

Sorry, i didnt' see this post and i replied to your first post with a mario
party suggestion. I would highly recommend mario party 6 over tennis. Tennis
gets old after about a week but MP6 stays fresh for about a month while you
unlock all the mini games etc. Though it really depends on whether he will
have a gaming partner. If you are willing to play MP6 with him, I think you
will have a much better time, both competitively and cooperatively. Nothing
better than teaming up with your kid to win minigames and out-strategize the
neighbors or the computer.

Np =). Maybe if you could give me/us your son's preferences concerning games
(and his age), we'll be able to give you more detailed advice on other games
that might be interesting, as Mario Tennis and Mario Party are not looked at
as being top-notch.
Especially Mario Tennis is fun, but after a while might be collecting dust
on the shelves. The same goes for Mario Party which is, as the title states,
a party game... Especially meant for multiplayer-gaming with 4 people. But
if he liked Mario Party 4, Mario Party 6 might be a good choice, especially
because of the microphone that comes with it (just gives it a nice twist to
the game).
And if he really digs these mini-game-like games, I'd say go for Wario Ware
for the Cube, Gameboy Advance or DS! Great fun!

Jim

I just got MP6 for my six year old. The most stress-free, fun, entertaining
Nintendo game I've yet bought for him. He can play it without any
supervision (no critical reading stuff) and the multiplayer is a hoot (I
enjoy playing with him).

I've never tried any of the MP games and am glad I paid for the new one (the
price break for getting the older ones wasn't enough to sway me). MP5 and
MP6 both support progressive scan and MP6 is stunning looking on my 50" HD
widescreen RPTV.

We've not yet tried the microphone games that come with MP6 but they should
be a hoot too.

Satisfaction level = 10/10.
