Asus Motherboard CPU LED LIGHT issue

Hi,

My motherboard is stuck in red light when turn on, it doesn't shutdown but it won't turn green, monitor and usb device no response or show powr.


Motherboard:ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3
CPU: Intel 3770k with stock cooler
Ram: 4x4gb corsar ddr3 vengenace
Hard Drive: Kingston 256gm ssd
GPU: MSI 660ti
PSU: Cooler Master Silent Pro


First i though was the ram, so i put as 1 instead 4 in each slot, problem still occur, next was double check with the cpu fan, had try ligh coating and more coating. Also try take out the cmos battery or swap the battery, still red.

Hi.

I recently had the same problem, so I called asus.
It turns out that the bois which ships with the motherboard, does not support the Intel Ivy-Bridge.
In order to solve the problem, you would need a CPU with the same socket(LGA1155) that is NOT an Ivy-Bridge.
When you got this in, the motherboard will post, and you can enter the bois menu. From there you can follow the steps in your manual on how to update you bois with the "Asus EZ Flash 2 Utility". When you have installed the latest bois version, your motherboard should now run with your ivy-bridge cpu :)
