Hey TH,

I am looking for a site that has price histories of computer hardware.

I found one site that actually does this, to a degree is mypricechart(dot com) but it does not do it as well as I would like to see, and it is not up to date with current products. It has video cards up to GTX 400 series and Radeon 5000 series. Its stats are also just "high", "low", and "average".

I would like to see a graph for products, i.e. release date for product x is January 2006. It costs $500 then. January 2007 it goes down to $420, etc. etc. I would be okay with paying for this service if need be.

Thanks.

By averages. And it would be impractical to include every vendor in the world, but a few major vendors would be sufficient.

i.e. newegg was selling it for $430, bestbuy for $450, and tigerdirect for $425. That results in a $435 average. It could even be based on a single site, if there is a way to see that. I rarely shop anywhere other than newegg, anyway.

pricescan.com used to publish very nice price history graphs, but apparently got out of the general-public price comparison business and now sells its data to analysts.
