how to unlock DVD region

Dear all

I've got a Dell notebook with DVD drive but set to region 1.

How to unlock it so that I can watch other region?

I already installed Power DVD 2.55 and it says wrong region bla bla bla

help , anyone knows how to destroy the Eprom safely?

I think you first have to know if the protection is Hardware
or software based!
If its hardware there´s not much you can do but open the drive and (I´m not sure about this!) installing a microchip that will bypass the protection!
If its software based you can get a crack for your DVD
viewer (Easyer) or removing and re-installing the software
again and again !
