Screen wont fit monitor XFX Radeon 6870

Hello,
I just finished building my gaming PC.
My graphics card is XFX HD Radeon 6870 Black edition.
I'm using HDMI.

I install windows 7, and then it doesn't fit the monitor.

I changed the resolution to the maximum. (1900x1200)? The number is not accurate - somewhere around that.

But when I play a game, its full screen. I am missing a PCI driver, could this be the reason?

If you are talking about black borders around the monitor you have to enable GPU scaling options in CCC. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/311203-33-black-border-screen-samsung

Ahh, I had this problem with HDMI and my XFX 6870, if you are talking about the black borders. The scaling options didn't help me unfortunately. They may help with you though.

If underscan/overscan doesn't help. You may have to switch to using a dvi cable, as I did. It fixed the problem completely. It's quite a common problem with AMD cards and HDMI, usually involving Samsung TV/monitors, as it was in my case.
