CPU upgrade from phenom x2 545?

hey ) i want to an upgrade from my AMD phenom x2 545 my mother board is FOXCONN A7VMX-K which is AM3 and my price range is about 100-200 quid XD soo yeaaa i was thinking about getting the Phenom II X4 965 but i don't know if that would run in my system thanks guys

Something tells me that your mobo will only support 95w CPUs, struggling to get confirmation on that though.

So play it safe and buy one of these

i would say, get an fx 4100 for 120$ and an asrock 970 am3+ pro3 for 85$.

Not much of an upgrade from his Phenom ll. Personally, I wouldn't upgrade to anything less than a Core i5 or Phenom ll X6 if he wants to keep his current motherboard.

^Keep in mind that an OC on a 95W CPU will not still stay under 95W.
