I'm looking to put something together that I can use, mostly for my film stuff and 3d modelling, and for gaming. I'm not looking for the top range stuff, but I do need something that will at least get the job done and not break the bank on my behalf. I'll be building it part by part over the next month or so, buying parts as I can afford them. Since I haven't done this in a long time (I've been using laptops for about 3 years...) I'm hoping someone can help me out.
I've done a little research, and I know I want to run it on an i5-2000k. I've also had a look and found an Azza Spartan case, and an ASUS EAH5750 GPU. What sort of mobo would I need for this, and what amount of power in the PSU would I need? I also suppose I'd need to use at least DDR4 or DDR5 ram so I'm not bottlenecking the whole system. Also, would that GPU be good enough? I want to run two screens, possibly three, though I know I'd have to go either SLI or Crossfire for that, so i'll leave that for now.
Any help would be appreciated.

I think you're a bit confused about processors, which is fine, because this stuff can be confusing. i7 is not just an overclocked i5. Maybe what you are think about is the "k" version of processor( such as i5 2500k and i7 2600k) which are overclockable versions of i5 2500 and i7 2600s respectively.
Do you think I will need an i7? I'm probably wrong, but from what I know (or at least from what I've heard) i7's are factory overclocked i5's and don't seem to produce much more power for the price.
Not true. i7's are much more powerful in that they have hyperthreading enabled. So while an i5 can process 4 threads simultaneously, an i7 can process 8 threads.
There are three main points to your build that address your use for it:
1. Memory. You need 16gb
2. CPU. You need the extra processing power of the i7
3. GPU. For a three screen system, you need 2GB of video ram.
