what would be a suitable motherboard (40-50 pound price range) to go with
Corsair Vengeance RAM Module - 32 GB (4 x 8 GB) - DDR3 SDRAM - 1600 MHz DDR3
MD Bulldozer FX-8 Eight Core 8120 Black Edition 3.10Ghz (Socket AM3+) Processor

thanks for your time

There is no motherboard in that price range that I would recommend. All you will find is bottom of the barrel junk. You need to set your budget to something more like 80-90 to get something approaching halfway decent.

You can order 8GB ram, and still have more than you will ever need. Just saying.

OK. Motherboards. Here's a good one for your cpu in your price range:

Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3

For the AMD FX Series CPU's, the motherboard will require a BIOS update.

If you can spend a few more pounds, here's an even better one:

Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3
