I have a Asus M5A78L/USB3 motherboard and want to buy some 1600 mhz memory because at the moment i have 600 mhz memory. I have noticed on my motherboard spec sheet it says
Memory
4 x DIMM, Max. 16GB, DDR3 2000(O.C.)/1866(O.C.)/1800(O.C.)/1600(O.C.)/1333/1066 Hz ECC, Non-ECC Memory
Dual Channel Memory Architecture
and then it says at the bottom of the page
Memory
Max Supported Memory 16 GB
Supported RAM Technology DDR3 SDRAM
Supported RAM Speed 1333 MHz, 1066 MHz
Supported RAM Integrity Check Non-ECC, ECC
RAM Features Dual channel memory architecture
Just wondering if my motherboard can handle 1600 mhz speed ? Because i don;t get the first bit the 2000 then 1866 etc then it says Supported RAM Speed 1333 MHz.
Could some one please explain ?? because at the moment i have 600 mhz memory and get a lot of lag and would like to upgrade to 1600 but seems like my motherboard will not support it ??
