Hei guys m planning to upgrade from a core 2 quad to a core i7 2600k Sandy bridge processor

i need ot upgrade my processor and motherboard so i thought i should upgrade my ram as well i have some cheap rams

anyways i will be going with the following setup

the items with the link are the ones i am going to buy from ebay is this setup any good or are there any other rams or motherboards better

waiting for your advice :)


i am going to use it for gaming and also i want the best performance from my computer not just from gaming in video encoding and running multiple instances of heavy processess

Well, a lot of the cost of that board is stuff that's not really needed and will not be used. You really going to monitor your overclock on a laptop and control your system via your iPhone? Then go for it :)
Do you want the absolute maximum overclock possible? We're talking maybe a whopping .05Ghz more than a board that costs much less? Then sure.



All three Corsair 1600Mhz C9 models are identical except for the color. Same latencies, same voltage, even the same model numbers except...

soryy but i dont know what you mean by overkill :p

and i can only buy from ebay because m buying through a friend and he wont accept any other site so dosent matter
