at their site it says that this mb supports 1600/1333/1066 and 2400(oc). now i dont get it how it cen support 2400 mghz and not those in between 1600 and 2400? and if it supports them why they dont say it does...
so can i get myself 1866 or 2133 memory or i will have to stick with 1600?
processor is 3570k
thanks

It does. Take a look at the QVL http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_ga-z77x-d3h.pdf

With that said, there's no real reason to get anything faster than 1600, either.

The literally microscopic performance gain from anything faster just isn't worth it unless you're using the integrated graphics, you want to run a RAM disk, or you do a TON of memory intensive work (doesn't include gaming). Otherwise, it just makes RAM related benchmarks look nice, but has no real benefits, otherwise.
