What will you be doing with this system? In the meantime, the best memory for your system is 1600 MHz @ 1.5 volts with a CAS of 9-24. Here's a quality low cost kit (8 GB) that meets the specs: Corsair Vengeance Blue Low Profile 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CML8GX3M2A1600C9B) [CML8GX3M2A1600C9B] http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY... | Report abuse murf111 September 10, 2012 2:10:32 PM Ive got a asus rampage 2 gene, i7 920 and 6gig of OCZ ram and its still a bit slugish. Could i buy 2 single sticks of the same ram for that motherboard? | Report abuse swifty_morgan Memory Expert September 10, 2012 2:22:16 PM I don't understand the 16gig or 3gig thing......... you want dual channel memory for the set up you're buying. Triple channel ram is for the old Intel set ups ( see above poster ). Yes, agree that 8gigs would probably be more than enough for most people. ( get 2 4gig sticks ) | Report abuse murf111 September 10, 2012 5:48:45 PM Let me put it this way. If its a dual channel motherboard could i put two single sticks of the same ram in there. Would it make a diffrence? | Report abuse swifty_morgan Memory Expert September 10, 2012 6:56:02 PM yes, two sticks of the same ram in the correct slots. not 2 oddball sticks. | Report abuse Register or log in to remove Ask the community Publish Tom's Hardware>Forum>Memory>Need help choosing RAM> Related ressources: ForumNeed help choosing RAM ForumNeed help choosing ram ForumNeed some help choosing RAM ForumNeed help choosing OC Compatible Ram ForumNeed help choosing PSU, case, RAM for Athlon II X4 620 ForumNeed Help Choosing Video Card ForumNeed Help with choosing my RAM ForumNeed help choosing RAM Chips ForumNeed help with choosing gpu out of many ForumNeed help choosing RAM ForumNeed help choosing ForumNeed help choosing a computer Case ForumNeed help choosing a 1155 socket ATX motherboard ForumNeed help choosing a cheap PSU and a cheap case ForumNEED HELP CHOOSING GPU!!!
