I have been with Cingular and have a bluetooth cellphone which I would like
to use as a dial-up modem with my mac laptop.
I am planning to switch to T-Mobile, but can't get any specific info about a
phone recommendation for this use. They say there are no mac drivers but
that the generic bluetooth driver will usually locate the cellphone. This
was the case with my last phone,
HOWEVER I couldn't figure out how to configure it so that the phone dialed
my dial-up #. It keeps trying to access the local browser to browse
directly from the phone.
If anyone has any idea of where to go even for resources that would be much
appreciated.

I am using a Sony Ericsson T610 with T-mobile and a PB17 running OS10.3.
I followed the direction found on this link to dial into Access-4-Free
and it works (although slow) I use the Bluetooth modem settings.
