N600 Router Dual Band (2.4 and 5 ghz)

Hey guys, needing help activating a second network out of the two I thought I'm supposed to have.

I seem to have the "2.4ghz" network connection working reason being I'm selecting the name I've designated it during setup.

My only problem is opening the gate to the "5ghz" connection I seem to be missing. Not sure what to do.

Any help or enlightenment (am I even entitled to a second connection?) is appreciated.

the router sends out 2.4 and 5 simultaneously via the same SSD name.

do you have equipment that runs 5GHz? set it to run at 5GHz only and try to connect.

When you ask if I have the equipment are you meaning the router or some other hardware?

How do I go about finding the model number of my network card. I'm looking at the device manager and only gives me the generic "name" of "Belkin USB Wireless Adaptor".

Remove the Belkin and it should have the model number on it. Alternatively dig out the packet it came in.
