Core i5 2500k load temps

I have a core i5 2500k overclocked to 4.5 GHz on 1.32Volts. Using a Cooler Master Hyper 212+ single fan PUSH with Tuniq x-4 thermal paste (small pea in middle appliciation)

After running Prime95 for an hour my highest recorded Core Temp was 72C (ambient room temp about 20C)

Is this cause for concern? I reseated the heatsink and it did not improve temps. I have been solely an AMD guy for the past 5 years so anything above 55C makes me real nervous and frustrated. How would you rate this load temp under this type of air cooling? Thanks

what motherboard you using? i wouldn't leave the system like that. sounds like to much strain for 4.5ghz to me.

Reduce your OC some, that 1.32 Vcore is whats raising your temperatures. If you can find a stable OC at the next voltage step lower it will reduce your temps and hopefully bring them back into the safe range because i would not leave it going at 72 C under full load.

what bios 0902? i mean you can leave your system like that...it's just not ideal. what are your ram settings? voltage timings speed etc?

I have the same processor and motherboard, and I'm stable at 1.25V 4.5GHZ, so I'd say you need to lower your voltage a bit. The highest temp I've had is 56C with an H100.

Alot of poeple are getting these same temps in the 60-70s C on air cool. Mine is also @ 1.325 volts @ 4.4-4.5. As long as it doesn't hit 80 it should be fine. The TJmax on it is high.
