System specs -
ASUS M4A78-EM (Bios 2102)
AMD Phenom II X4 965 @ 3.6 Mhz
GSkill Ripjaw DDR2 (PC2-9600) 2x1024 MB @ 1200 Mhz
NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT
2x 300GB Western Digital VelociRaptor - RAID 1
3x 2TB Seagate Constellation
2x Pioneer DVR-116D
Windows 7 Ultimate x86 32 bit (Version 6.1, build 7600 SP1)

While I've used it for several years, I've decided that RAID isn't the way to go for safety. I have a new 300GB VelociRaptor and, using XXCLONE have cloned the RAID to the new drive. I used the "make bootable" option when I created the cloned image.

What setting do I need to change in the bios to use the single drive?

Thanks, sounds simple....doesn't work...

Take out both RAID drives, replace with mirror (from XXClone - bootable drive image) - modify bios to AHCI, boot to target HD, "Cannot find bootable device"...

Put in previous RAID master - modify boot to target HD, "BSOD", "windows has stopped the boot to protect your system"...run CHSKDSK /F (a storage drive).

Put in mirrored HD as slave...same as RAID master...

Put slave RAID drive in, change SATA config to RAID...boots

Think it's time to build a new system...
