I feel silly for asking but this is my first build...

I have a Corsair 300r case and am trying to connect the USB 3.0 cable from the front chassis to the mobo (ASRock 970 Extreme 3). Unfortunately, I can't find anywhere on the mobo where the cable would attach. Am I just missing it? I've looked at the manual of the motherboard layout and don't see it anywhere on there either.

Does that cable not connect to the mobo but rather run out of the case to be used?

Thanks in advance for your help.

That image isn't for the ASrock 970 Extreme 3.

What are some options to get the front case USB 3.0 ports working if my board doesn't have an on-board 3.0 header? (It seems it doesn't or I would have found it by now). It's unfortunate because I was sure it had the on-board header when I ordered it.

Would I have to buy a USB 3.0 Controller Card and some kind of extension (the cord won't reach the back of the case if I were to use a controller card as is)?

Thanks.
