I am currently think of upgrading my Radeon HD6450 to a sapphire 7770 1gb ddr5 which I believe uses PCIe 3.0. However, my motherboard is an ASUS M5A78L-MLX which only has a PCIe 2.0 slot. SO is there an incompatibility issue with this motherboard do i have to buy a new mobo for this gpu and if i have to pliz suggest one THANX

It's backward compatible. Sales would be limited if they required a new motherbaord and CPU.

^ Never mind the fact that there aren't any 3.0 capable AMD boards anyway.

just as clarification, the only time pci-e 3.0 has any realtime performance gain is only when its being used in a frequency less than 16x(8x or lower) which never happens unless you using crossfire/sli.
